Dynamics. | Dynamics is the branch of physics that deals with the study of motion of object taken into consideration the case of motion. |
Momentum | Momentum is the quantity of motion contained in a body. |
What is momentum measured by? | Momentum is measured by the product of mass and velocity. |
Equation of momentum | p = mv |
linear momentum | A linear momentum is a vector quantity whose direction is in the direction of the velocity. |
momentum as defined by Newton's second law | Newton's second law of Muslim defines momentum as the change in motion produced by an external force so there is a relationship between the change in momentum and force. |
Impulse | The force which acts on a body for a very short time is known as impulsive force. The impulsive force that is not a constant jumps from zero to maximum and then from maximum to zero in a very short time. |
Equation of impulse/ | Impulse = Force x Time = Fav x dt |
Principle of conservation of linear momentum/ | The law of conservation of linear momentum states that if no external force acts at the system of two colliding object then the vector sum of the linear momentum of each body remains constant and is not affected by the mutual interaction. |
