QuestionAnswer
White Paper Used to describe articles that explain a certain technology or product
Worm virus/optical storage technology that allows a disc to be written only once but read an unlimited number of times
Snippet A small section of text or source code that can be inserted into the code of a program or Web page.
Plug-in An add-on for a program that allows the program function properly/Play certain multimedia files on you browser.
Motherboard The main circuit board of your computer and is also know as the main board.
Driver a small file that helps the computer communicate with hardware device.
Digital Signature Used just like regular signatures yet they are used in digital documents.
Wiki A web site that allows users to add and update content using their own web browser.
Applet A java program that can be embedded in a web page.
Firewire a wire used to connect devices to computers.USB
MIDI "Musical Instrument Digital Interface" connectivity standard that musicians use to hook together musical instruments and computer equipment.
MPEG Compresses movies that can contain both audio and video.
ISO "International Organization for Standardization" standardize many of the technologies used by your computer hardware and software.
RAM "Random Access Memory" memory that remembers every time you open a program
PDF "Portable Document Format" Captures document text, fonts, images, and even formatting of documents from a variety of applications.
