TermDefinition
el dialecto Una variedad adoptada por una lengua en una zona geográfica.
bilingüe Una persona que habla o emplea dos lenguas con igual perfección.
el lenguaje formal El estilo y modo de hablar en situaciones formales.
el lenguaje coloquial Una forma de hablar que se utiliza en la conversación natural y cotidiana.
el español neutro Una variedad de la lengua española que tiene su propio acento y que quita palabras coloquiales de ciertos países. El propósito de usar esta variedad en la televisión es para que todos los hispanohablantes de diferentes países entiendan.
el prestigio del lenguaje La importancia que tiene una lengua en la sociedad.
El imperialismo lingüístico Un concepto en lingüística que supone la imposición de una lengua dominante sobre un pueblo, basada tanto en el poder militar como económico.
el papel Función que desempeña una persona o cosa.
la hegemonía. Supremacía que un estado o pueblo ejerce sobre otro.
hablante de herencia Alguien que aprende en casa con su familia un idioma que no es el idioma más hablado en el país donde vive. Por eso, aprende un idioma en casa y otro en la escuela o en la sociedad del país.
hablante nativo Alguien que aprende en casa un idioma que también se habla en la escuela o en la sociedad del país donde vive.
