Ch29 Light Cured Gel

Light Cured Gel A nail enhancement product that hardens when exposed to UV Light, also known as UV and LED gel.
Acrylates Light Cured Gel enhancements rely on ingredients from subcategory of the monomer liquid and polymer powder chemical family
Oligomer A short chain of monomers that is no long enough to be considered a polymer
Urethane Methacrylates Traditionally, light cured gels relied on urethane; newer gel systems
Photoinitiator The polymerization reaction
Cure To harden
Viscosity the measurement of the thickness or thinness of a liquid and affects how the fluid flows
Bonding Gels A substance to increase adhesion
Building Gels Has a thick viscosity and is used to build and arch and curve onto the fingernail
Self-leveling gel used to enhance thickness of the overlay while providing a smoother surface
Gel Polish substance with a thin viscosity gel that is pigmented and packaged in a polish bottle.
Glossing Gel A gel known as a sealing gel or shine gel
Inhibition layer A tacky surface layer
