L motion is an arm position that is performed by putting the left/right arm out straight to the side and the right/left arm straight up next to the head.
Bow and arrow is an arm position performed with an arm extended to side with other arm bent at elbow in a half "T" motion.
Candlestick is a cheer motion where a cheerleader extends their arms out in front with fists facing each other as if they were holding a lit candle in each hand.
Punch is an arm position that is performed by placing the one hand on the hip with the elbow straight out to the side while the opposite arm should be straight up beside the ear.
Clap is a hand position performed with hands in blade position at the chin with the elbows in.
K motion is a hand position with an advanced cheerleading motion that takes a lot of practice and coordination to perform correctly, especially in the middle of a routine when you are trying to remember multiple moves.
Muscle man is an arm position performed from a box and bringing the arms to the side - like muscle arms. Making sure the arms are parallel to the floor so your fists can face forward like "door knockers" or in like "daggers".
Touchdown is an arm position that is performed by straightening the arms and bringing them up on either side of your ears. Hands are in a fist with the pinky finger forward.
Dagger is an arm position that is performed with the arms are straight, above the head in a clasp and slightly in front of the face.
Breakdancing is a hip-hop dance style that has four foundational dances.
Half T is an arm position performed with both arms parallel to the ground and bent at the elbows, fists into shoulders.
Over clasp is performed with the arms straight, above the head in a clasp and slightly in front of the face.
Kneel is done with one leg bent at the knee and at the same time turning the same limb away from your body while the other leg is extended sideward away from the body.
Flying V is an arm position performed with the arms extended up forming a “V”.
Clasp is a hand position in cheer dance that is performed with the hands clasped, at the chin, and elbows in.
Low V is an arm positions wherein arms are extended downwards while forming a “V”.
Checkmark is an arm position that can be done as one arm is in a "High V" position and the other is positioned on your hip.
Diagonal is an arm positions that is performed with the arm is extended in a High V motion, and one arm is in a Low V motion.
Jazz hands is the extension of a performer's hands with palms toward the audience and fingers splayed.
Box is performed with the arm brought up to make a frame around the face while keeping the arms parallel to the floor.
Side lunge is a body position wherein the one leg is extended sideward while the opposite leg is bent in 90-degree position to the other side.
Locking is a hip-hop dance style that was originally called “campbellocking”. It was created in 1969 in Los Angeles, California by Don “Campbellock” Campbell and popularized by his crew – The Lockers.
Popping is based on the technique of quickly contracting and relaxing a muscle to cause a jerk in a dancer’s body.
Blade is a hand position that is performed with the hands open and fingers are straight and together.
Squat is a body position that is performed in a standing position with the legs spread to double the shoulder width, feet pointing outward, and the knees bent in almost 90 degrees angle.
Spread eagle is a type of jump wherein the arms are placed in high V while the legs go out while the knees are facing forward.
Tutting is a hip hop dance style that emphasizes the body's ability to create geometric shapes (such as boxes) and movements; predominantly with the use of 90-degree angles.
Festival dance is a type of dance that are cultural dances performed to the strong beats of percussion instruments by a community of people sharing the same culture. It is usually done in honor of a Patron Saint or in thanksgiving of a bountiful harvest.
Double nine is a type of jump that is similar to the pike jump but one arm and one leg are both bent to leave the appearance of two.
T motion is an arm position performed with both arms extended straight out to the side and parallel to the ground, and shoulders relaxed.
Pike is a jump that is performed with the legs extended forward with the toes pointed while the hands are reaching towards the toes.
Hurdler is a jump that is performed with one leg in toe touch position with the knee pointing toward the sky, while the other leg is bent and the knee is pointing down.
Tuck is a jump that is performed with the legs in front, knees bent closely towards the chest, and the arms in “T” position.
Double hook is a type of jump that is performed with both legs hooked at the same side with the toes pointed and the shoulders facing forward.
Toe touch is a type of jump that involves motion of the arms in a "T" position and legs in a V, with knees pointing toward the sky or even backward a bit.
