Math vocab

Absolute value The distance between a number and zero on a number line
Integer Any number from the set {…,-4,-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,4,…}where…means continues without end
Negative integer A number that is less than zero and is written with a - in front
Opposite An opposite is a number the other side of zero from another number they always add up to zero
Positive integer A number that is greater than zero
Quadrants The four regions in a coordinate plane separated by the x-axis and y-axis
A number that can be written as a fraction
The mirror image produced by flipping a figure over a line
