Solid Modeling The process of creating a solid model or 3D object using a modeling and design application on a computer
Computer-aided design (CAD) A process that uses a computer to assist in designing something, such as a part, circuit, or building.
Translation When a transformation is moved in TinkerCAD
Scale To change the size of an object in TinkerCAD
Additive-method A solid modeling design method where an object is created by adding volume to a smaller object
Subtractive-method A solid modeling design method where an object is created by subtracting volume from a larger object
Volume The amount of space, measured in cubic units, that an object or substance fills
Surface area The total area of the surface of a 3D object
Engineers A person who is trained in and uses technological and scientific knowledge to solve practical problems
Iteration Repeating a process to yield results successively closer to the goal
Criteria A means of judging. A standard, rule, or test by which something can be changed
Constraints Limitation or restriction
