What is the primary function of the respiratory system in the human body? The respiratory system plays a fundamental role in facilitating the exchange of gases, particularly oxygen and carbon dioxide, between the body and the external environment.
What is the path of digestion in the human body? Digestion begins in the mouth and travels through the, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, liver, gall bladder, pancreas, large intestine, rectum, and then anus.
What is the somatic nervous system? The somatic nervous system is a division of the peripheral nervous system that controls voluntary muscle movements and processes sensory information from the external environment.
What is the autonomic nervous system? The autonomic nervous system (ANS) is a division of the peripheral nervous system that regulates involuntary physiological processes and controls internal organs.
What is CNS? CNS stands for the Central Nervous System. It is a vital component of the human nervous system and plays a fundamental role in processing and transmitting information throughout the body.
What is responsible for the rest and relax in the body? The rest and relax functions in the body are primarily regulated by the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS).
