What are three types of wetlands? Marshes, swamps, and bogs
Compare and contrast marshes and swamps. Both marshes and swamps can be either freshwater or saltwater. Most marsh plants are grasses. Trees do not usually grow in marshes. However, swamps have many trees.
How are bogs different from marshes and swamps? Bogs only have freshwater. They are usually found in cooler northern climates. Marshes and swamps can be found in many areas.
What is peat? Partially decayed plant material that has piled up into dense layers in bogs.
What responsibilities has God given me concerning the earth? To glorify God.
Grasslands may look different, but their main vegetation is always _________. grasslands

What are characteristics of a savanna? -tropical grassland climate -two seasons -has more trees than other grasslands
How does being nocturnal or being active only at dusk, and dawn benefit some desert animals? Resting during the hot part of the day, helps them conserve energy and water.
Prairie grasses often have their roots matted together and spread deep underground. What benefits does this provide? This prevents seeds from trees and other plants from taking route, enabling the grasses to grow again after a fire, or after grazing animals have eaten them.
