Crevice A deep, narrow opening in rock caused by a split or a crack.
Lure To tempt or attract with the promise of something good.
Makeshift A temporary and usually less strong replacement.
Summit The highest point or the top. (as of a mountain)
Terse Short of breif and to the point.
Thwart To stand in the way of.
Unabashed . not embarrassed or ashamed
Unequivocal Having only one possible meaning or interpretation; leaving no doubt.
Unobtrusive Not attracting attention; not placing one's opinions on others
Semiannual occurs twice per year or for a half-year (6 months)
Semiformal partly formal; containing some formal elements. N. A social event that is not too formal
Semiarid characterized by very little annual rainfall, usually from 10 to 20 inches
