| Analyse the results | once your data is presented in a graph you will need to work out what the graph is telling you. |

| Laws and principles | describe a natural phenomena that has been observed but they do not explain how it works eg gravity |

| Heliocentric | the sun is at the centre of the universe |
| independent variable | a variable that you change eg time |
| Dependent variable | variable being tested and measured |
| Controlled variables | variable that is kept constant |
| control | is used for comparison eg helps you find out if the independent variable has an effect on the dependent variable. |
