| Drills | Practice to learn what to do in different situations. |
| Emergency | When something bad happens and you need to act quickly. |
| Fire Drills | Practice for what to do if there is a fire. |
| Lockdown Drills | Practice for what to do if there is a threat and you need to stay safe. |
| Intruder | Someone who is not supposed to be somewhere, especially if they might be harmful. |
| Dangerous Person | Someone who might hurt others. |
| Evacuate | To leave quickly, especially in an emergency. |
| Instructions | Information that tells you what to do. |
| Procedures | The steps or things you do in a certain situation. |
| Safe | When you are not in danger or harm. |
| Lockdown | When you stay in a safe place to stay protected. |
| Barricade | Blocking or closing off a place to keep it safe. |
| Rally Point | A meeting place during an emergency. |
| Soft Lockdown | Being careful but not completely stopping everything. |
| Hard Lockdown | Stopping everything and staying very safe. |
| Reunification Site | A place where people come together again after leaving in an emergency. |
| Counter Option | A plan to deal with a problem or danger. |
| Distract | To take attention away from something. |
