| Term | Definition |

| Integer | Any number from the set [… -4,-3,-2,-1,,0,1,2,3,4…] where…means… continues without end. |
| Negative integer | A number that is less than zero.it is written with a - sign. |
| Postive integer a number that is grater then zero. It can be written with or without a + sign. | a number that is grater then zero. It can be written with or without a + sign. |
| Absolute value | The distance between and number and zero on a number line |
| Opposite | Two integers are Opposites if they are represented on the number line by points that are the same distance from zero, but on opposite sides of zero. The sum of opposite is zero, |

| Coordinate plane- | a plane in which a horizontal number line and vertical number line intersect at their zero points |

| Y- coordinate | the vertical number line in a coordinate plane |
| Inequality | A statement that compares two quantities using <, >, ≤,≥, or ≠ |
