| Interior Angle | an angle formed by two sides of a polygon with a common vertex |
| Auxiliary Line | a line that is added to a figure to aid in a proof |
| Exterior Angle | an angle formed by one side of a polygon and the extension of an adjacent side |
| Remote Interior Angle | an interior angle that is not adjacent to the exterior angle |
| Isosceles Triangle | a triangle with at least two congruent sides |
| Legs | the congruent sides of a triangle |
| Vertex Angle | angle formed by legs |
| Base | side opposite of the vertex angle |
| Base Angles | angles that have the base as a side |
| Equilateral Triangle | a triangle with three congruent sides |
| Equiangular triangle | a triangle with three congruent angles |
| Altitude of a Triangle | a perpendicular segment from a vertex to the line containing the opposite side |
| Centroid of a Triangle | the point of concurrency of the three medians of a triangle. *center of gravity* |
| Circumscribed Circle | every vertex of the polygon lies on the circle |
| Concurrent | three or more lines that intersect at the same point |
| Distance from a Point to a Line | the length of the perpendicular segment from the point to the line |
| Equidistant | the same distance from two or more objects |
| Incenter of a Triangle | the point of concurrency of the three angle bisectors of a triangle |
| Inscribed Circle | a circle in which each side of the polygon is tangent to the circle |
| Median of a Triangle | a segment whose endpoints are a vertex of the triangle and the midpoint of the opposite side |
| Orthocenter of a Triangle | the point of concurrency of the three altitudes of a triangle |
| Point of Currency | a point where three or more lines coincide |
| Circumcenter of a Triangle | the point of concurrency of the three perpendicular bisectors of a triangle |
| Midsegment of a Triangle | a segment that joins the midpoints of two sides of the triangle |
