Chime 1. a melodious ringing sound, as produced by striking a bell. 2. (of a bell or clock) make melodious ringing sounds, typically to indicate the time.
Warren 1. a network of interconnecting rabbit burrows. 2. a densely populated or labyrinthine building or district. 3. an enclosed piece of land set aside for breeding game, especially rabbits.
Pelt 1. To attack (someone) by repeatedly hurling things at them.
Silhouette the dark shape and outline of someone or something visible against a lighter background, especially in dim light.
Preoccupation the state or condition of being preoccupied or engrossed with something.
Froth a mass of small bubbles in liquid caused by agitation, fermentation, etc.; foam.
Regiment a permanent unit of an army typically commanded by a colonel and divided into several companies, squadrons, or batteries and often into two battalions.
Incinerator an apparatus for burning waste material, especially industrial waste, at high temperatures until it is reduced to ash.
Cellar a room below ground level in a house, typically one used for storing wine or coal.
Cavort jump or dance around excitedly.
Hearth the floor of a fireplace.
Burrow a hole or tunnel dug by a small animal, especially a rabbit, as a dwelling.
