Vocabulary related to Plutchick wheel of emotion to learn English

TermDefinition
Admiration The feeling of admiring someone or something.
Trust To believe that someone is good and honest and will not harm you, or that something is safe and reliable.
Acceptance General agreement that something is satisfactory or right, or that someone should be included in a group.
Submission The act of giving something for a decision to be made by others, or a document formally given in this way.
Terror Extreme fear.
Fear An unpleasant emotion or thought that you have when you are frightened or worried by something dangerous, painful, or bad that is happening or might happen.
Apprehension worry about the future, or a fear that something unpleasant is going to happen
Awe Feeling of great respect sometimes mixed with fear or surprise.
Amazement Extreme surprise.
Surprise An unexpected event.
Distraction The state of being very bored or annoyed.
Disapproval The feeling of having a negative opinion of someone or something.
Grief Very great sadness, especially at the death of someone.
Sadness The feeling of being unhappy, especially because something bad has happened.
Pensiveness A thoughtful or reflective state, specially if sad or melancholic.
Remorse A feeling of sadness and being sorry for something you have done
Loathing A strong feeling of hating someone or something.
Disgust To make you feel extreme dislike or disapproval.
Boredom The state of being bored.
Contempt A strong feeling of lack of respect for someone or something.
Rage Extreme or violent anger.
Anger A strong feeling that makes you want to hurt someone or be unpleasant because of something unfair or unkind that has happened
Annoyance The feeling or state of being annoyed
Aggressiveness The quality of being likely to attack other people or animals, or to behave in a violent or angry way towards them.
Vigilance More careful attention, especially in order to notice possible danger.
Anticipation A feeling of excitement about something that is going to happen in the near future
Interest A feeling of having your attention held by something, or of wanting to be involved with and learn more about something.
Optimism The feeling that good things are more likely to happen than bad things.
Ecstasy State of extreme happiness, especially when feeling pleasure.
Joy Great happiness.
Serenity The quality of being peaceful and calm.
Love The feeling of liking another adult very much and being romantically and sexually attracted to them, or strong feelings of liking a friend or person in your family.
