Graphic and Visuals Worksheets

QuestionAnswer
Tables Presents a large amount of information in a small space. Information can be presented either horizontally or vertically.
Line Graphs Are frequently used to show trends or change in data over a period of time.
Bar Graphs Compares the increases and decreases in quantity over time.
Pictogram Uses pictures and symbols instead of horizontal or vertical bars to show differences in quantity.
Circle graphs or Pie Chart Shows how different parts relate to a whole.
Chart Shows relationships without using numbers
Flow Chart Shows or summarizes all the steps involved
Organization Chart Shows the relationships of the various parts to a whole. Typically used to show the hierarchy of management in relation to staff
Full-View Drawings A drawing used in the introduction to illustrate the whole object for readers
Cutaway or Cross-Section Used with the reader needs to focus on the internal design or the working parts.
Exploded-View Drawing Shows the entire mechanism or object by "Exploding" the whole to show each part
Action-View Drawing Drawing that illustrates a process.
