| Term | Definition |

| Amass | - gather together or accumulate (a large amount or number of valuable material or things) over a period of time. |
| Hover | remain in one place in the air. |
| Meager | (of something provided or available) lacking in quantity or quality. |
| Retreat | (of an army) withdraw from enemy forces as a result of their superior power or after a defeat |
| Camouflage | a defense or tactic that organisms use to disguise their appearance, usually to blend in with their surroundings |
| Intrigue | arouse the curiosity or interest of; fascinate |
| Procession | a number of people or vehicles moving forward in an orderly fashion, especially as part of a ceremony or festival. |
| Treacherous | guilty of or involving betrayal or deception. |
| Conquest | the subjugation and assumption of control of a place or people by use of military force. |
| Jargon | special words or expressions that are used by a particular profession or group and are difficult for others to understand. |
