Ancient religions often confused God for the creations God made, such as the sun and moon, stars, earth, trees, animals. How does the text define truth? When is something we think actually true? Truth is a relationship between our mind a reality, what we think in our minds about reality is true if what we think actually corresponds to what is real.
What is the difference between an objective reality and a subjective opinion? An objective reality is something that is true regardless of what I think about it. My personal thoughts, feelings, preferences, and even knowledge about it have no bearing on whether it is true or not.
An objective reality is truth completely independent of me. A subjective opinion is entirely rooted in my own thoughts, feelings, perceptions, and knowledge. Are all objective realities provable by the “hard” sciences such as physics or math? Generally speaking, how do we acquire knowledge by science? What is the scientific method capable of validating? We can acquire knowledge by science by making a hypothesis. By conducting experiments based on our studies and claims it can validate sensible objects.
How do we acquire knowledge by the testimony and authority of others? How much of what we say comes from testimony? We can get this knowledge by hearing the testimonies and experiences of others.
