TermDefinition
Meritocracy A system or society in which people are chosen and moved into positions of success based on their demonstrated abilities and merit.
Advent arrival that has been awaited (especially of something momentous)
Precocious (of a child) being mature for one’s age; demonstrating certain abilities at an earlier age than most children
Paradigm the generally accepted perspective of a particular discipline at a given time
Prodigies A person, especially a young one, endowed with exceptional qualities or abilities
Tedious Too long, slow, or dull: tiresome or monotonous
Decamp To depart suddenly or secretly especially to relocate ones business or household to another area
Consecutive To follow continuously
Enmeshed To cause to become tangled in something
Feud A prolonged and bitter quarrel or dispute
Anarchic With no controlling rules or principles to give orders
Incredulous A person or their manner, unwilling or unable to believe something
Marginally To a restricted extent; slightly
Individualism A belief in the importance of the individual and the virtue of self-reliance and personal independence
Unequivocal Leaving no uncertainty; unmistakable
Negotiate To obtain or bring about by discussion
Anomaly Something that deviates from what is standard, normal, or expected
Mitigating Having the effect of making something bad or less severe, serious, or painful
Ambiguity The quality of being open to more than one interpretation; inexactness
