Disaccharides formed when 2 monosaccharides join together with the eliminaio of water (condensation) C12H22O11
3 disaccharides maltose, sucrose, lactose
Polysaccharides Formed when 3 or more monosaccharides join together with a loss of water moleculr
Examples of polysaccharides starch, pectin, cellulose, gums. glycogen
