What is plagiarism ? Plagiarism is the act of stealing someones work and not crediting them.
Is plagiarism illegal ? No but you could be punished at your school.
Can you just change the words and not site it? no
How do you prevent accidental plagiarism ? Good paraphrasing and notes.
Whats in a citation ? Name of the author and source, the date you copied when the information was posted and name of article.
When do you site ? Whenever you quote direct words or when someone has expressed an idea.
What is self plagiarism ? Copying something you have already used and claiming its new.
What is the collection of cited sources called ? Bibliography
What is paraphrasing ? Restating the text in other words.
How do i make sure my writing is not plagiarized ? Use a plagiarism checker.
