| array | An arrangement of objects in equal rows |
| composite numbers | A whole number greater than 1 that has more than two factors. |
| factor(s) | A factor of a number is a number that divides the given number evenly or exactly, leaving no remainder. |
| factor pairs | A factor pair is a set of two factors. When multiplied together, they give a particular product |
| inverse operation | the operation that reverses the effect of another operation. For example, addition is the inverse operation of subtraction and multiplication is the inverse operation of division . |
| multiple | In math, the meaning of a multiple is the product result of one number multiplied by another number. |
| multiply/multiplication | where you take one number and add it to itself a certain number of times. |
| prime number | numbers greater than 1 that only have two factors, 1 and the number itself. |
| product | the result of two or more numbers when multiplied together |
| row | the horizontal arrangement of objects, side by side, from left to right |
| column | the vertical arrangement of objects, from top to bottom |
| base | In a power, the number that is used as a repeated factor |
| exponent | In a power, the number that tells how many times the base is used as a factor |
| exponential form | The representation of a number that uses a base and an exponent |
| power of 10 | A power with a base of 10 and an exponent |
