Behaviourism Sees human behaviour as determined by a combination of genetics and environment
Psychoanalytic theory Focuses on the role of a person's unconcious and early childhood experience
Functionalism To study the function of behaviour in the world
Structuralism (Edward Titchener & Wilhelm Wundt) Focused on understanding human conciousness by examining it's underlying components
Introspection A process by which someone examines their own concious experience as objectively as possible
Empirical method Based on an observation, including experimentation, rather than a method based solely on logic
