Temperature measure of hotness or coldness expressed in terms of any of several scales, including Fahrenheit and Celsius
Hyperthermia the condition of having a body temperature greatly above normal.
Hypothermia occurs when your body loses heat faster than it can produce heat, causing a dangerously low body temperature.
Thermometer an instrument that measures temperature
Heart Rate the number of times your heart beats per minute
Beats per minute the pace of music measured by the number of beats occurring in 60 seconds
Pulse the regular movement of blood through your body that is caused by the beating of your heart and that can be felt by touching certain parts of your body
Tachycardia your heart is beating much faster than normal, usually more than 100 beats per minute
Bradycardia a slow heart rate
Radial Artery a blood vessel that supplies blood to the forearm (lower part of the arm) and hand
Carotid Artery a pair of blood vessels.
Respiratory Rate the number of breaths a person takes per minute.
Breaths per minute the number of breaths a person takes per minute
Inspiration / Inhalation Inspiration allows air to flow into the lungs. The second phase is expiration. Expiration involves gases leaving the lungs
Expiration / Exhalation the act or process of releasing air from the lungs through the nose or mouth
Blood Oxygen Saturation / Pulse Ox the percentage of oxygen in someone's blood.
Pulse Oximeter an electronic device that measures the saturation of oxygen carried in your red blood cells
Oxygen A nonmetallic element that exists in its free form as a colorless, odorless gas and makes up about 21 percent of the Earth's atmosphere
