TermDefinition
ASSAY (V) a technical term – to test something (such as a metal or drug)
CAUSTIC (adj) describes bluntly and harshly critical remarks/statements
COPECETIC (adj) things that are very satisfactory
DUPLICITY (N) refers to dishonest behavior meant to trick or deceive someone.
EMBARGO (N) a government order that limits trade in some way (in a broader sense – prohibition)
LACKLUSTER (adj) something dull or mediocre.
OXYMORON (N) a combination of words that have opposite or very different meanings
MYRIAD (N) usually followed by of, means “a great number,”
PUNDIT (N) someone who is usually considered an expert on a particular subject
UPBRAID (V) to speak to them in an angry or critical way in response to something they have done wrong—in other words, TO SCOLD
