Variable | A statement that two expressions are equal |
Constant | The letter or symbols in an equation |
Coefficient | A number attached to a variable |
Solution | A value that makes an equation true |
Inverse Operation | Two operations that undo eachother |
Addition Property of Equality | Adding each number to each sides of the equation: if x-b, then x+a=b+a |
Subtraction Property of Equality | Subtracting: If c-w then c-p-w-p |
Division Property of Equality | c/a=s/a a=/0 |
Identity | An equation that is true for all values of the variable |
Absolute Value Equation | An equation that contains an absolute value equation |
Variable | A number by itself |
