What are the two most common base metal alloys used in dentistry? o Chrome-cobalt and Nickel-chrome
What are two disadvantages for working with base metals? o High casting temperatures and biocompatibility problems
What are three advantages of base metals? o Lighter, Stiffer - Take twice the stress to deform the base metal, and Cost less
How are wrought metals different from casting alloys? o Wrought metals are formed after the metal is cast, and used to describe the shaping, altering, molding, and manufacture of various metals.
