TermDefinition
Federalist those who supported the proposed constitutional structure ,a strong federal government, and full ratification.
Anti-Federalists Those who opposed the consolidation of the states under a federal government.
Participatory Democracy a model of democracy in which citizens have the power to decide directly a group of people that seeks to influence public policy on the basis of a particular common interest or concern.cy decisions.
Pluralists Democracy a model of democracy in which no one group dominates politics and organized groups compete with each other to influence policy.
Elite Democracy a model of democracy in which a small number of people, usually those who are wealthy and well-educated, influence political decision making.
Initiative group Is a procedure by which voters may propose a law or a state constitutional amendment.
Interest a group of people that seeks to influence public policy on the basis of a particular common interest or concern.
referendum a general vote by the electorate on a single political question that has been referred to them for a direct decision.
representative democracy Representative democracy is a form of democracy in which people vote for representatives who then vote on policy initiatives; as opposed to direct democracy, a form of democracy in which people vote on policy initiatives directly.
