Four groups of nouns? Persons, place, thing, or idea or emotions
What are Proper Nouns? A particular person, place, or thing
What are Common Nouns? A class of things
What are Compound Nouns? A single noun made up of two or more words.
What are One-Word Nouns? Basketball, moonbeam, and cupcake
What are Two-or-More words? Car pool, Gulf of Mexico
What are Hyphenated words? Brother-in-law
What are Abstract nouns? Weakness
What are Concrete Nouns? 3-D: can see/touch it, put it into a box, spit on it
What are Collective Nouns? Gathering together ---> flock, herd, class, or team
What are nouns markers? A, an, and the NOT INCLUDING AND
What are Pronouns? A word that takes place of another word
What are Antecedants? The word for which a pronoun stands the NOUN the pronoun replaces
