| career | the job or series of jobs that people do over the period of their working life |
| elderly | Appearing old |
| pension | sum of money paid to people on a regular basis after they retire |
| retire | To stop working because one has reached a certain age |
| teenager | someone who is between 13 and 19 years old |
| campervan | a vehicle containing a bed, kitchen equipment, etc that you can live in |
| earn | to make money |
| fifties | between 50 and 59 years old |
| freedom | the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint. |
| hope | want smth to happen but you are not sure if it actually will happen |
| intend | have in mind as a purpose |
| salary | the money that you receive each month for doing your job |
| candle | stick of wax which gives off light when it burns |
| celebration | a joyous ceremony or gathering |
| costume | special set of clothes that people wear for a particular occasion or event, such as a parade or street festival |
| decoration | s something you put on or around something else to make it look more attractive |
| fireworks | rockets producing bright fire in the sky, used in holiday celebrations |
| float | moving platform, pulled through the streets by people, animals or vehicles, that carries people who are performing in a carnival or festival |
| mask | something that covers part or all of someone's face |
| parade | groups of people moving down a public street together to celebrate something |
| cattle | cows and bulls that are kept on a farm and used for meat and milk production |
| ceremony | a formal event held in honor of a special occasion |
| groom | a man who is getting married |
| bride | a woman who is getting married |
| line | number of people or smth next to each other or one behind the other |
| wedding | marriage ceremony |
| barbecue | meal cooked outdoors, for example in someone's garden or on the beach, often as a social occasion |
| client | A person using the services of a professional person or organization. |
| colourful | having bright colours or a lot of different colours |
| convince | make (someone) agree, understand, or realize the truth or validity of something |
| delicious | very tasty |
| disgusting | horrible and making you feel sick |
| dull | not interesting or exciting but boring |
| enormous | extremely big |
| festival | a special time or event when people gather to celebrate something |
| invitation | a request (spoken or written) to participate or be present or take part in something |
| massive | very big and very impressive |
| miserable | Very unhappy or uncomfortable |
| background | sort of family and education you have |
| ban | officially or legally prohibit |
| escape | get away |
| influence | to affect; make impact |
| invent | to make something for the first time |
| native | a person who was born in a particular place |
| performer | a person who entertains people by acting, singing, dancing or playing music |
| tune | check and adjust a musical instrument so that it plays musical notes properly |
| child | a young person, not an adult |
| text | to send a typed message using a mobile phone |
