integer A positive or negative number
rational number a number that can be expressed exactly by a ratio of two integers.
reciprocal multiplicative inverse. Mathematics. the ratio of unity to a given quantity or expression; that by which the given quantity or expression is multiplied to produce unity:
absolute value the magnitude of a quantity, irrespective of sign; the distance of a quantity from zero.
proportion comparative relation between things or magnitudes as to size, quantity, number, etc.; ratio.
exponent a symbol or number placed above and after another symbol or number to denote the power to which the latter is to be raised:
coefficient a number or quantity placed (generally) before and multiplying another quantity, as 3 in the expression 3x.
constant something that does not or cannot change or vary. something that does not or cannot change or vary.
quadrant II, III, IV one of the four parts into which a plane, as the face of a heavenly body, is divided by two perpendicular lines, numbered counterclockwise from upper right:
interior angle an angle formed between parallel lines by a third line that intersects them.
box plot box plot
histogram a graph of a frequency distribution in which rectangles with bases on the horizontal axis are given widths equal to the class intervals and heights equal to the corresponding frequencies.
interquartile range the range of values of a frequency distribution between the first and third quartiles. the range of values of a frequency distribution between the first and third quartiles.

asymmetrical having two sides or halves that are not the same
center the point around which a circle or sphere is described
median a value in an ordered set of values below and above which there is an equal number of values
outlier a statistical observation that is markedly different in value from the others of the sample
quartile any of the three values that divide the items of a frequency distribution into four classes with each containing one fourth of the total population
range the difference between the least and greatest values of an attribute or of the variable of a frequency distribution
skew to distort especially from a true value or symmetrical form
symmetrical symmetrical capable of division by a longitudinal plane into similar halves
variability subject to change
percent of values (percentages) a part of a whole expressed in hundredths
relative frequency table the ratio of the frequency of a particular event in a statistical experiment to the total frequency
credit limit* the most money that a bank or business will allow a person to borrow
fee fixed charge
transfer banks transfer or move money from place to place
bankruptcy person unable to satisfy any just claims made upon them.
debt something that is owed or that one is bound to pay to or perform for another
annual salary the total amount of money you earn from a job in a year
grant something granted, as a privilege or right, a sum of money, or a tract of land
occupation a person's usual or principal work or business, especially as a means of earning a living; vocation:
scholarship learning; knowledge acquired by study; the academic attainments of a scholar.
student loan a U.S. government–chartered private company whose chief function is to make available to qualified students low-cost loans backed by government agencies through lending institutions
work-study a type of financial aid in which students are hired for part-time jobs, usually by their college, and often for work on campus:
