integer | A positive or negative number |
rational number | a number that can be expressed exactly by a ratio of two integers. |
reciprocal | multiplicative inverse. Mathematics. the ratio of unity to a given quantity or expression; that by which the given quantity or expression is multiplied to produce unity: |
absolute value | the magnitude of a quantity, irrespective of sign; the distance of a quantity from zero. |
proportion | comparative relation between things or magnitudes as to size, quantity, number, etc.; ratio. |
exponent | a symbol or number placed above and after another symbol or number to denote the power to which the latter is to be raised: |
coefficient | a number or quantity placed (generally) before and multiplying another quantity, as 3 in the expression 3x. |
constant | something that does not or cannot change or vary. something that does not or cannot change or vary. |
quadrant II, III, IV | one of the four parts into which a plane, as the face of a heavenly body, is divided by two perpendicular lines, numbered counterclockwise from upper right: |
interior angle | an angle formed between parallel lines by a third line that intersects them. |

histogram | a graph of a frequency distribution in which rectangles with bases on the horizontal axis are given widths equal to the class intervals and heights equal to the corresponding frequencies. |

range | the difference between the least and greatest values of an attribute or of the variable of a frequency distribution |
skew | to distort especially from a true value or symmetrical form |

relative frequency table | the ratio of the frequency of a particular event in a statistical experiment to the total frequency |

occupation | a person's usual or principal work or business, especially as a means of earning a living; vocation: |
scholarship | learning; knowledge acquired by study; the academic attainments of a scholar. |
student loan | a U.S. government–chartered private company whose chief function is to make available to qualified students low-cost loans backed by government agencies through lending institutions |
