Studying

TermDefinition
tabulating To count, record, or list
Statistics the collection and classification of data that are in the form of numbers
Histogram A graph of vertical bars representing the frequency distribution of a set of data.
Dot Plots a graph where dots that represent the value of data are plotted above a number line
statistical question A question that has many different, or variable, answers.
mean average
Mode The value that occurs most frequently in a given data set.
Median the middle score in a distribution; half the scores are above it and half are below it
Outlier A value much greater or much less than the others in a data set
Data Facts and statistics collected together for reference or analysis
