Servant Leaders Focus on obstacle removal, diversion shield, and development opportunities for the team.
Team Development Vision and objectives, roles and responsibilities, team operations, guidance and growth.
Predictive Approach (Waterfall) when work is easily defined, scope is collected at the start of the project, there's a large investment or high risk. Use frequent reviews and change control.
Adaptive Approach (Agile) combination of incremental and iterative, with shorter iterations
Hybrid Approach Any combination of adaptive and predictive, useful when requirements are uncertain. (Most Common)
Product Scope The features in the product
Project Scope The work performed to deliver those features
Deterministic Estimating Is a number or a point
Probabilistic Estimating Is a range of options with probabilities for each
Absolute Estimates Is a number
Relative Estimates Is a comparison to other estimates
Flow Based Estimates Uses cycle time (time to complete) and throughput (number completed)
Schedule Crashing Throwing money and resources at it
Fast Tracking Performing Items in parallel (at the same time)
Leads How much we can bring an item forward
Lags How long we must delay an item
Mandatory Dependencies Dependencies that cannot be modified
Discretionary Dependencies Dependencies that can be modified
External Dependencies Dependencies impacted by non-project activities
Internal Dependencies Dependencies impacted by project activities
Rolling Wave Planning Near term - detailed plan, far away - high level idea
