Vocabulary used to describe films

extra nonspeaking actor usually in the background of a film
sequel a book, film, play, etc. that continues the story of an earlier one
screenplay the words of a film with instructions how to act and film it
stunt a dangerous and difficult action that somebody does as part of a film
genre a particular type or style of literature, art, film or music
nominated to suggest (formally) that somebody is chosen for a prize
box office the place at a theatre, cinema, etc. where the tickets are sold
star a film celebrity e.g. Tom Cruise
animated film a film or TV show made by photographing a series of drawings or models
critic a person who expresses opinions about the good and bad qualities of books, music, films, etc.
premiere the first public performance of a film or play
scene the place where something happens
part the role an actor plays in a film. Tom Cruise is Ethan Hunt
audition/casting a short performance given by an actor, so that somebody can decide if they are suitable for a film or play etc.
shoot a film to make a film or photograph of something
set where or when the action of a play, novel or film happens
