What was General Taheri worried about when he comes to visit? Sohrab comes from a Hazara family and the General and family is Pashtun---worried about others will think raising a lower class child has their own.
How does Amir respond to General Taheri's concern? Amir is upset and unwilling to acknowledge Gen. Taheri’s concerns reason being that Baba slept with a Hazara and Hassan was the result–adopting Sohrab and giving him a good life & the life he deserved as Baba’s grandson
Why do Afghans gather at Lake Elizabeth Park? To organized a celebration day to celebrate New Years Day on the First Day of Spring and fly kites
What happens as Amir runs the kite for Sohrab? Sohrab smiles and Amir feels like he has gotten redemption
The story ends by coming to a full circle. Explain. Hassan & Amir run kites as kids, Hassan is raped & doesn't speak/smile, Amir does nothing; Amir goes US, Amir comes back to rescue Hassan's son(abused by same person as his father) doesn't speak/smile, Amir & Sohrab return US, fly kites & Sohrab smiles
