| Dismissive | feeling or showing that something is unworthy of consideration |
| Hackneyed | Corny, trite |
| Cliffhanger | a story or event with a strong element of suspense |
| Contrived | created or arranged in a way that seems artificial and unrealistic. Forced. |
| Ghetto | Slum area |
| Reluctant | unwilling and hesitant; disinclined |
| Despair | lose or be without hope. |
| Make ends meet | earn just enough money to live on. |
| Praiseworthy | deserving approval and admiration |
| Paramount | more important than anything else; supreme |
| Swarm | a large or dense group of flying insects. (metaphorically: numerous people)/(v) move in a swarm |
| Dash out | leave a place in a hurry to get something |
| Unattainable | not able to be reached or achieved |
| Clutter | cover or fill sth with an untidy collection of things |
| Flutter | fly unsteadily or hover by flapping the wings quickly and lightly |
| Linger | be slow to disappear / stay in a place longer than necessary |
