Persuasion
| Term | Definition |

| claim | a statement that something is true |
| counterclaim | a claim made to prove another claim is false |
| statistics | facts that contain numbers |
| ethos | use beliefs or values to persuade. (Sometimes a trusted role model is used) |
| pathos | use emotions to persuade |
| logos | use statistics and factual evidence to persuade. |
| credible | trustworthy and reliable |
| perspective | one person's view about something |
| justify | to back up opinion with evidence |
| oppose | challenge or act against |
| primary source | first hand account of an event |
| secondary source | created by someone who did not experience first-hand |
| bias | in favor of or against one thing, person, or group |
