Meningitis behandeling 3e generatie cefasporines (ceftraixon / cefotaxim) + vancomycine als vermoeden penicilline resistente s. pneumoniae. Dexa 0.15mg/kg verminderd mortaliteit
Encephalitis / meningoencephaltis behandeling HSV: acyclovir, CMV: ganciclovir of foscarnet
Hersenabces Meestal polymicrobiotisch -> vancomycine, metronidazol of 3e generatie cefalosporine (ceftriaxon)
Ernstige community-acquired pneumonie (immunocompetent /immunocompromised host) Beta-lacatam (ceftriaxon) + macrolide (azithromycine) of fluoroquinolone (op IC)
Ernstige community-acquired pneumonie met vermoeden aspiratie toevoeging clindamycine
Nosocomial and Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia 3rd or 4th gen. Cephalosporin + β-lactam / β-lactamase inhibiter or carbapenem + Fluoroquinolone or aminoglycoside

Necrotizing Soft Tissue Infection Broad spectrum antibiotics (vanco + b-lactam + carbapenem + fluoroquinolone)
Immunocompromised or Neutropenic patients Cephalosporin (Ceftazidime) + aminoglycoside or fluoroquinolones.
Antibiotic-associated colitis metronidazole 250-500 mg 3dd (Intraluminal vancomycin IV +/-metronidazole if oral route is not possible. )
Fungal Diseases Polyenes (amphotericin B)
