| cast | the actors in a film, play, or show |
| imaginary | not real |
| native | born in a particular place |
| spirit | the way something is meant to be understood or felt, not necessarily its literal meaning |
| storyline | plot |
| stunning | extremely impressive or attractive |
| varied | incorporating a number of different types or elements. |
| approach | the way you decide to deal with a problem or situation |
| background | all the things that lead up to the events of the story but are not part of the main action |
| baking hot | very high temperature |
| bank | a raised area of ground, often along the side of something such as a field, river, canal, road etc |
| bonnet | the front part of a car or van, that covers the engine |
| bounce back | to return quickly to a normal condition after a difficult situation or event |

| risk | a situation involving exposure to danger |
| social networking | the use of social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. to share information, find people with similar interests, etc. |
