debate To discuss opposing points or ideas.
anonymous Someone who has an undisclosed or unknown name.
defy To oppose or refuse to cooperate with that person.
pseudonym A fictitious name, particularly a pen name.
edict A command or pronouncement enforced as law.
proficient The level at which one is able to complete a particular skill, such as reading complex texts, with success.
paraphrase Express the meaning of something written or spoken using different words, generally the purpose of clarification or understanding.
informational text A nonfiction text whose purpose is to provide information about or explain a topic.
independently On one's own without aid from another.
falsehood The state of being untrue.
