TermDefinition
Digital Footprint A record of your online activity.
Cookies Text files with small pieces of data to identify your computer as you use a network.
GeoLocation The identification of the geographic location of a user or computing device via an array of data collection processes.
MetaData The data providing information about one or more aspects of the data.
Data Facts and statistics collected for reference or analysis.
Spreadsheet A tool that is used to store, manipulate and analyze data.
Browser History The list of web pages a user has visited, as well as associated metadata such as page title and time of visit.
Digital Literacy An individual's ability to find, evaluate, and communicate information by utilizing typing or digital media platforms.
Blog A website designed to make it easy for users to create entries in chronological order.
Dossier Security measures designed to detect and deny unauthorized access and permit authorized access to an information system or a physical facility.
Derogatory Threats or negative information that could appear from a user.
Social Networking The use of internet-based social media sites to stay connected with friends, family, colleagues, or customers.
Viral Malicious piece of code that spreads between computers or other devices.
Privacy Settings Controls available on many websites and apps to limit who can access your profile and what information visitors can see.
