| How did Aksumites adapt to their rugged, hilly environment? | Aksumites invented terraces, which are constructed ridges on mountain slopes to help soil retain water. |
| Aside from terraces, what other innovations did Aksumites develop into their environment? | Aksumites made use of canals to channel water from streams to fields. They also built dams and cisterns to store water. |
| What was the main language in Aksum and what was unique about it? | The main language in Aksum was Ge'ez & Aksum and Meroe were the only kingdoms to establish their own written language. |
| Why was Aksum currency unique? | Aksum currency was unique because they were the only ones South of Sahara to mint their own coins in bronze, silver, and gold. |
