Rhetorical Question Why wouldn't you? This is a question that does not require an answer. It is used to make the reader think
Alliteration Terrified, Tingly, and Tense This is used to describe something and make a visual image in the readers head for the reader to understand more.
Quoting expert Dr. Blood of the blood donation family says " These are the opinions & facts of experts in a field of subject the reader is reading about. They are used to make readers trust the source of information
Facts Without water, We will die This is used to convey real information to the users based on knowledge and reasearch
Statistics 1 in 1000 people die from blood donation This is used to make the reader feel that the information is true and well researched.
Repetition save, save, save This makes the writer convey the information as serious and back up the writers argument
Image Image of a crying baby This gives visual representation of the writers argument to help readers
Power of 3 Angry, upset and disappointed This is used to reinforce the information the writer wants to convey
Imperative Must, Now This is used to tell the reader a command and make the reader driven in to the writers piece.
Pronouns You, We This is used to make the readers feel like they are involved in the written piece and the writer is speaking at them.
Ellipsis ... This is used to make the reader feel that something is missing from the information and creates a pause
Catchy Title Traversing the skies This is used to draw the readers into reading the article/story without giving too much information away
Emotive language How would you feel if that was your son who needed blood. This is used to pull the string on the readers heart. it captivates them to the article
Reward if you donate blood, you are rewarded with tea and biscuits This is used to motivate readers to do what the article has been about. when there is a reward, people will do a lot of things
Bullet points .people die everyday .earthquakes happen all the time This is used to convey concise information usually factual for the readers to easily extract that information instead of reading a whole paragraph
BOLD Headings CAPITILISM (BOLD) This is used to emphasize the headings from the information.
Onomatopoeia BANG!, BOOM!, CRASH!. This is used to make a dramatic sound effect to give users a representation of what it sounds like
Personification The tree looked happy with the branches dancing This is used to give an object a human characteristics. it is used to give readers a representation of movement.
Hyperbole For the a millionth time "" This is used for exaggerating part of the article/story and make it seem more serious that it is
Oxymoron Clearly confused Deafening silence This is used for a figure of speech with a contradictory word with opposing meaning to give readers something to think of
Idiom Money doesn't grow on trees This is used for an figurative meaning that differs from the phrases actual meaning that it amplifies the manning to readers to draw them in
