Body Paragraphs

body paragraph any paragraph between the introduction and conclusion
concluding sentence the last sentence in a body paragraph
example a specific case used to demonstrate an idea
example and explanation pair in the middle of a body paragraph; always are in pairs
explanation a clarification of why something happened
in text citation giving credit to a source in the body of a paper
key words important words that give the main idea
thesis statement the guiding sentence for the entire paper; tells what the paper will be about
topic sentence first sentence in a body paragraph; tells what that paragraph will be about
well supported argument an argument supported by examples with explanations
