TermDefinition
Force strength or energy as an attribute of physical action or movement.
Static friction a force that keeps an object at rest
Kinetic friction a force that acts between moving surfaces.
Drag a type of entertainment where people dress up and perform, often in highly stylized ways.
Field an area of land marked by the presence of particular objects or features
Net force the sum of all the forces acting on an object
Inertia a tendency to do nothing or to remain unchanged.
Gravity It describes the resulting interaction between two masses.
Free fall a special case of motion with constant acceleration
Orbit the curved path through which objects in space move around a planet or star:
Electric charge the property of subatomic particles that causes it to experience a force when placed in an electric and magnetic field.
Static electricity a familiar electric phenomenon in which charged particles are transferred from one body to another
Electrical conductor a substance or material that allows electricity to flow through it
Electrical insulator materials with a high resistivity
semiconductor materials which have a conductivity between conductors (generally metals) and nonconductors or insulators
