are made by vibrating electric charges and can travel through space where matter is not present. Electromagnetic waves
is a massless bundle of energy that behaves like a particle. Photon
are electromagnetic waves with wavelengths longer than 10 cm. Radio Waves
electromagnetic waves with wavelengths between 0.1 mm and 30 cm. Microwaves
are electromagnetic waves with wavelengths between about one-thousandth of a meter and about 700-billionths of a meter. Infrared Waves
is the range of electromagnetic waves that you detect with your eyes. Visible light
are electromagnetic waves with wavelengths from about 400-billionths to 10-billionths of a meter. Ultraviolet Waves
electromagnetic waves with wavelengths between about ten-billionths of a meter and ten-trillionths of a meter. X-rays
electromagnetic waves with wavelengths shorter than about 100-trillionths of a meter. Gamma Rays
an electromagnetic wave with the specific frequency that a station is assigned. Carrier Wave
the process of adding the signal wave to the carrier wave. Modulation
are electric signals whose values change smoothly over time. Analog Signal
: is an electric signal where there are only two possible values: ON and OFF. Digital Signal
transmits one radio signal and receives another radio signal. Transceiver
is a system of satellites, ground monitoring station, and receivers that determine your exact location at or above Earth’s surface. GPS
