Nouns Identifies people, places, things or ideas
Verbs Identifies a process of doing, being or having something, Can be more than 1 word
Auxiliary Verbs Subordinate words that join with a verb to form a verb
Modal Verbs Express a degree of permission, obligation, probability or certainty
Adjectives A word that qualifies nouns or pronouns
Adverbs A word that modifies a verb, adjective, another adverb, or even a noun (Manner, time, place)
Prepositions Shows the relationship between a noun/pronoun and another word/words
Pronouns Words in place of a noun, Has the same function as a noun
Conjunctions Words that join word, phrases and clauses in a meaningful way
Determiners A word that makes specific the denotation of a noun phrase (in/definite article, quantifier, demonstrative, possessive)
Interjections Word that expresses emotion, Adds emphasis, effect
