Lachrymose (adjective) weeping or inclined to weep; tearful; causing or tending to cause tears
Ebullient (adjective) lively, zestfully enthusiastic; boiling or seeming to boil; bubbling
Lampoon (verb) to ridicule or satirize the follies or vices of a people or time (noun) a broad satirical piece that uses ridicule to attack a person, group or institution
Sanctimonious (adjective) hypocritically religious; feigning piety or righteousness; morally smug
Effrontery (noun) impudent, arrogance, or shameless boldness; presumptuous
Flabbergast (verb) to astound; to overwhelm with shock
Debacle (noun) sudden, disastrous downfall or defeat; failure, ruin collapse
Mien (noun) appearance; bearing; manner, especially as it reveals an inner state of mind
Inauspicious (adjective) ill-omened, unfavorable; predictive of ill luck
Pensive (adjective) deeply often wistfully or dreamily thoughtful; reflective; melancholy
