Amnesty noun- The act of an authority by which pardon is granted to a large group of individuals
Autonomy noun- self-government and independence
Axiomatic adjective= expressing a universally excepted principle that is self-evident
Blazon verb= to set forth conspicuously or publicly; display; proclaim;to adorn or embellish, esp. brilliantly or showily.
Caveat noun= a warning; an explanation to prevent misinterpretation
Equitable adjective= Fairly, just, or principles of justice
Extricate verb= to free or remove from an entanglement or difficulty with effort
Filch verb= to appropriate furtively; steal, especially in petty amounts
Flout verb= to treat with contemptuous regard; to mock
Fractious adjective= 1. tending to be troublesome; unruly 2. quarrelsome and unpredictable
Precept noun= rule of action and conduct
Salutary adjective= 1. producing a beneficial effect 2. promoting health 3. helpful and wholesome
Scathing adjective= bitterly severe or withering; causing great harm
Scourge noun= 1. instrument of punishment or criticism 2. cause of wide or great infliction verb= to whip or punish severely
Sepulchral adjective= relating to a place of burial; gloomy
Soporific adjective= 1. tending to cause sleep 2. relating to sleepiness or lethargy noun: hypnotic or anything that induces sleep
Straitlaced adjective= excessively strict in manners, morals, prudish, puritanical
Transient adjective= passing quickly in and out of existence; passing through on a brief stay noun= one that is transient
Unwieldy adjective= not easily managed or handled because of size or complexity
Vapid adjective= lacking liveliness or force; dull
